Security was heightened at Tuesday night's American League wild-card game at Yankee Stadium in the wake of Sunday's deadly shooting in Las Vegas.
Many fans said they anticipated police precautions like officers in tactical gear and K-9s monitoring lengthy lines.
"(I'm) always a little apprehensive nowadays, you know? Everything is different now," says Rob Fitkin, of White Plains.
The NYPD has stepped up safety measures across the city for months after terrorist attacks around the world.
"With the security and the cops, you know, it being the great state of New York, I don't feel I have to worry about it," says Aday Diggs, of Ossining.
