A security guard is recovering in the hospital after sustaining injuries while trying to break up a bar fight in New Rochelle.
Police say the guard was hit in the head with a bottle and suffered cuts to his left eye at around 2 a.m. Sunday at Mangoville bar and grill.
The Jamaican restaurant is located in a popular shopping complex on North Avenue. Some shoppers say the incident has them concerned for their safety.
Police say that as many as a dozen people were involved in the fight. No arrests have been made at this time.
