Search for suspect forces lockdown at St. James school

A lockdown has been lifted at Mills Pond Elementary School following a police investigation this morning.
News 12 has learned police were searching for a suspect, which resulted in buses being diverted around 8:30 a.m. The search also forced the school into lockdown.
In pictures obtained by News 12, officers are seen on Woodlawn Avenue searching for the suspect in backyards. Neighbors tell News 12 the suspect was in one of the homes.
Police confirm to News 12 that they located the suspect and arrested him.
The school returned to its normal schedule.
