A school employee who was caught on video allegedly trying to meet an underage girl he met in an online chatroom is going viral online.
The 44-year-old man, whose identity News 12 isn’t revealing at this time, is a Middletown school district employee, according to district officials.
He allegedly drove to Brooklyn on Friday to meet who he thought was a 15-year-old girl he met online. Instead, he was met by a decoy from a sex-crimes prevention group on Facebook called "Team Loyalty Makes You Family."
A representative for the Middletown school district says they are aware of the allegations and are working with law enforcement, but didn't comment on whether or not the man in that video is still employed.
Authorities are remaining tight-lipped about the investigation. So far, charges have been filed.
