Some school districts in Westchester are hoping voters say ?yes? to leaner budgets Tuesday after many spending plans were defeated last month.

Greenburgh Central 7 voters rejected a $54.8 million plan with an 8.8 percent tax rate increase. The new budget proposal is $53.9 million, with a 6.9 percent tax increase. In Mamaroneck, voters said no to a $112 million budget with a 6.5 percent tax increase. They will now vote on a $110.41 million budget with a 4.8 percent tax increase. Pleasantville trimmed down its school budget to $38.7 million from $38.9 million, giving voters a 3.2 percent tax increase.
