A Washingtonville teen who was reported missing two days ago was found dead Sunday, according to school officials.
Blooming Grove police issued a missing child alert after the 13-year-old disappeared Friday night.
Neighbors and friends called on social media to help track Davis down, but it was to late.
The superintendent of Washingtonville schools released a statement on Facebook confirming Timothy Davis' death.
The district says it has a crisis intervention team in place Sunday and Monday at Taft Elementary School.
A GoFundMe page has been set up to help his family pay for funeral expenses.
The Blooming Grove police chief says the department isn't releasing any information since it is still an ongoing investigation.
Davis was an incoming freshman at Washingtonville High School.
There is no word on how or when the teen died.
