Scattered storms pose risk for lower Hudson Valley
UPDATE - 7:15 p.m. - The National Weather Service issued a severe thunderstorm warning for Ulster County through 8 p.m.
The tri-state area could see more scattered summer storms Monday evening.
The storms will mostly impact New Jersey, the lower Hudson Valley and Connecticut. They may briefly cross New York City and western Long Island.
A flood advisory is in effect until 7:30 p.m. for southern Westchester, and a flash flood warning is in effect until 7:45 p.m. in southern Westchester and Rockland counties.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of a thunderstorm. There may also be some scattered thunderstorms Tuesday evening.
There is also a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Wednesday.
