A response was given today from the Scarsdale pre-school where several students were the target of a bias letter.
Earlier this week the Hitchcock Weekday School received a letter demanding the removal of three children two from Mount Vernon and one from Yonkers because they are from disadvantaged backgrounds. News 12 Westchester received a copy of another letter sent from school leaders to parents addressing the bias note. That letter states that the school does not have geographic constraints or quotas in its admission policy and that any exclusion runs contrary to their philosophy and mission.
The note to the school was signed ?Hitchcock Parents Association Members,? but the principal said no such organization exists.Related Information
