Officials at Rye Playland posted no-swimming signs Wednesday by the man-made lake after a man drowned. One day after authorities say 43-year-old Won Yong Kim of Queens drowned at the park?s lake, signs prohibiting swimming were posted along the perimeter. Park officials say it?s a constant battle to keep the signs from being stolen. Employees are sent to check the signs, but the lake area was not checked before the July Fourth holiday. Park officials say more permanent signs also containing the symbol for no-swimming will be installed in the coming days for non-English speaking park visitors. Officials say people who disregard the no-swimming signs will be ejected from the park.
