Five businesses in Rye were busted for selling alcohol to minors over the weekend.

Police say 12 businesses were targeted in an undercover sting operation. Employees at five separate restaurants were arrested for allegedly selling drinks to underage customers. Police say some of the employees even sold the booze after seeing identification that showed the person was underage.

The employees were all charged with selling alcohol to a minor, which is a misdemeanor.
