Family, friends and colleagues bid a final farewell to a Rockland County sheriff's detective who died unexpectedly.
Detective Aloysius McMahon died last week. McMahon worked with the department for 29 years.
Hundreds packed St. Anthony's Church in Nanuet to honor the 51-year-old.
Officials say McMahon started his career in the corrections division and worked his way up to the police division, where he was a crime scene detective.
McMahon leaves behind his wife and two young sons. One of those boys led the procession, riding in his father's police car, before saying goodbye.
There is no word on what caused McMahon's death.
