Police say a director of a non-profit in Rockland County is accused of using fake money at a pharmacy.

Officials say Ya'el Williams is accused of using $480 in counterfeit $20 bills to purchase a prepaid credit card at Walgreens in Spring Valley.

The Thiells man is the executive director of Helping Hands for the Homeless of Rockland.

The county, which does work with the non-profit, believe he should be stripped of his title.

"We have been in contact with the board. We expect them to take appropriate action to somehow separate Mr. Williams from this pending time before he goes to trial," says Rockland County Executive Ed Day.

Williams faces up to 15 years in prison.
