County Executive Ed Day says Commissioner Dr. Patricia Schnabel Ruppert will leave this month.
She's been in her role since 2013, seeing the county through a measles outbreak, the pandemic and the paralytic polio case this summer.

Day says the county has formed a search committee to review resumes and find a replacement, and there are plans to name an interim commissioner.
