Rockland County students are preparing to hit the streets in support of gun control this weekend.
A pep rally of sorts took shape Thursday in front of the Rockland County Courthouse, where students announced their plan for the march.
State Sen. David Carlucci is spearheading the effort to drum up support for the event called March For Our Lives Rockland.
The march is set to take place in New City this Saturday at 10 a.m. at the same time as a march in Parkland, Florida.
The event is expected to draw hundreds of students from the county and beyond who will mobilize to show solidarity with the victims and survivors of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas school shooting
