The cold weather presented a challenge for firefighters early Friday morning as they responded to a house fire in Briarcliff Manor.
The incident occurred on Elm Road. The cause of the fire remains unclear.
Chief Michael King, of the Briarcliff Manor Fire Department, tells News 12 that icy conditions presented a challenge.
“Right now it's like an ice-skating rink up there,” he says.

Officials say no one was home at the time of the fire. No injuries have been reported.
