Residents, police meet to discuss community violence
Residents in one Yonkers community came together with police Monday to stop the violence in their area.
A meeting was held to express concerns about what residents feel is a spike in violence, but the captain of the 3rd Precinct says the statistics say otherwise.
"Violent crime is down 26 percent," says Capt. Daniel Campanini.
There have been 22 shootings in Yonkers in 2017, and three have been fatal.
