The Arctic temperatures that have moved into Westchester have forced some residents to make changes to their daily routines.

In Mount Vernon, one bus stop that is usually bustling with people was empty Monday. Others who ventured out were bundled in layers with gloves, hats and scarves. And at the AB Davis Middle School in Mount Vernon, some students had to move from their classroom to another part of the building due to the cold.

The cold weather can be especially dangerous for the elderly and very young. Residents are urged to stay indoors if possible.
