The United States is bracing for the deadliest day of the pandemic yet.
Data from the University of Washington shows the country will probably reach its peak death rate on Sunday.
There are estimates more than 60,000 Americans could die by August as social distancing policies continue through May.
That's down from the 82,000 projected earlier this week as officials think social distancing is working.
Even though models have been lowered, new hot spots are popping up in places like Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Philadelphia. "We think we are in a later wave of rising infections and hospitalizations, and that's what we're planning for," says Washington, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser.
