There are new estimates from the University of Washington that say the pandemic's death toll could be as high as 134,000.
Scientists are predicting a surge in deaths in part to rising mobility in most U.S. states as well as the easing of social distancing measures expected in 31 states by May 11.
Meanwhile, The New York Times received an internal document from the Trump administration projecting that new infections and deaths could skyrocket as restrictions ease.
The West Wing didn't deny the document's legitimacy but says it did not come from the president's office.
