A stretch of the Cross Bronx Expressway captured the top spot on a list of the worst intersections in the country, according to a new traffic report released Wednesday.

The National Traffic Scorecard, which was compiled by Inrix using data from GPS-equipped cars and trucks, states that the Cross Bronx Expressway is congested 94 hours a week, allowing traffic to crawl at a rate of 11 miles per hour.

Three of the highway's interchanges, at the Bronx River Parkway, Sheridan Expressway and White Plains Road, have been determined to be the worst traffic hotspots.

"Every morning [I've] got to get up two hours early [to] take my kids to school, and they're only three exits away," says commuter Eliezer Aponte. "So every morning it's terrible."

Overall, New York City was rated the second most congested city in America after Los Angeles. Chicago took third place as the nation's most bottleneck-ridden metropolis.
