The mayor of Mount Vernon is expected to be arraigned on corruption charges in White Plains this morning.
Religious leaders came together on the steps of city hall Thursday night to send prayers to Mayor Richard Thomas.
He faces four felony counts of grand larceny after he allegedly stole from his campaign fund.
He was indicted last week by a Westchester grand jury.
"It has to be a stressful time for him, for the city, we just want to pray for him, his city his family. It has to be a stressful time," says Rev. Stephen Pogue, of the Greater Centennial Ame Zion Church.
The mayor denies the charges and his legal team is prepared to get the case thrown out.
