Rare wolves born in Westchester
A critically endangered red wolf just gave birth to a litter of pups in Westchester.
The babies were born on Saturday at the Wolf Conservation Center in South Salem.
Employees at the center are beyond excited to care for them. "We found that we had six males and one female. These red wolves are a tremendous contribution to their species. We are very excited here at the center to have over 30 wolves," says Rebecca Rose of the Wolf Conservation Center.
It is estimated that there are only about 300 red wolves left on the planet.
