Rapper DMX stepped out of the studio and over to his hometown of Yonkers to help families in need.
DMX handed out turkeys at the Yonkers PAL Tuesday.
"I feel like God just used me as an instrument to provide, but I'm grateful that he used me to provide for this certain group of people," he says.
DMX, whose real name is Earl Simmons, says Tuesday's event was more than just giving back to the families, it was about restarting his own life as well.
"The music, a couple of movies...it's been done sober," he says.
