(12/04/06) THE BRONX ? The Fordham Rams spoiled the Bronx homecoming of Mount St. Michael grad Alejo Rodriquez with a 70-54 victory over Iona Sunday.
The game marked the first game in the Bronx for Rodriquez, a freshman with Iona, since his high school graduation. The Rams jumped on the board early and often, helped in no small part by Sebastian Greene?s 20 points and 9 rebounds. Bryant Dunston also had a solid game with 11 points and 12 rebounds.
Although Rodriquez had a tough time dealing with Fordham?s bigger frontcourt, he managed to pull down four rebounds and six points in 21 minutes of play. Despite being on the losing side, Rodriquez says he was happy to play in his hometown.
