Ramapo police arrest wanted man after two-day chase

A Ramapo police officer attempted to stop a motorist for a traffic violation on Sunday. The vehicle took off at a high speed and later the driver took off on foot and ditched the vehicle.

Ramapo police arrested a man who led officers on a chase that lasted two days.
A Ramapo police officer attempted to stop a motorist for a traffic violation on Sunday.
The vehicle took off at a high speed and later the driver took off on foot and ditched the vehicle.
The driver had active warrants for forcible touching and others.
On Monday, officers spotted the suspect at a home in the Hillcrest section hiding in an attic.
He was arrested on those active warrants and faces multiple new charges, including unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
He was remanded to Rockland County jail with a $5,000 bail.
