12h agoA Putnam Valley resident is facing charges in a deadly crash over the weekend.
Carmel Town police say the car hit a tree around 11 p.m. Saturday on Croton Falls Road, near McLaughlin Drive.
A 37-year-old female passenger from New York City was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a 74-year-old man, was charged with vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.
He was remanded to the Putnam County Jail.
Officials have not released the names of the people involved.
