Putnam County swears in new sheriff

The Republican defeated Sheriff Robert Langley, who served one term.

Putnam County has a new sheriff.
Kevin McConville was sworn in Thursday afternoon.
He took the oath on the steps of the historic County Courthouse in Carmel.
The Republican defeated Sheriff Robert Langley, who served one term.
He's a 30-year veteran, who served as Chief of the MTA police before retiring in 2008.
