More than 100 Putnam County residents attended the Medication Take Back.
Medication Take Back events provide safe, convenient, and anonymous means of disposing prescription, over-the-counter and pet medications.
Officials collected 234 pounds of medications and 175 pounds of sharps/syringes.
The Putnam Hospital Center continues to accept sharps/syringes, but no medications, Monday-Friday from 9 a.m.- 4p.m. in the main lobby.
