Five workers at an adult day care in East Brunswick have been charged, along with the facility, with physically abusing two severely disabled adults.
According to the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office, Broadway Respite and Home Care, as well as five of its employees, were charged in an indictment for crimes involving the abuse of two adults who attended day care at the facility.
The investigation determined back in May 2019, the two individuals who attended the day care were physically abused by employees

The indictment alleges the facility failed to act to protect the physical or mental health of the two disabled adult victims.
The day care was charged with two counts of abandonment and neglect of a disabled person, and two counts of endangering another person for conduct involving two different victims.

Asia Lunn, 22, Kenitra Hicks, 34, Kieasha Morgan 24, Hugo Lorenzo, 25, all of New Brunswick and Janella Allen, 31, of Elizabeth, were indicted for two counts of abandonment and neglect of a disabled person and two counts of endangering another person, for two separate victims.
