A man from New Milford is facing charges after an infant in his care had injuries caused by trauma.

The incident happened back on Feb. 6 when police responded to a 911 call of an unresponsive infant who was not breathing.

Officers found the baby unresponsive and not breathing.

The infant was taken to the hospital, where doctors determined the child's injuries were caused by trauma.

According to the prosecutor, Travis Weber, 28, of New Milford, has been charged with aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of a child.

The baby has been released from the hospital and is being cared for by family members.
