Police are looking deeper in the life of a Florida man who was killed at a Rye Brook hotel Sunday as they search for clues into his death.

Business associates of Ben Novack Jr. say he was outspoken and difficult to work with. Sources tell News 12 that Novack got into a heated fight with government officials in his native Fort Lauderdale right before he came to New York.

Police have not confirmed whether the fight is playing a significant role in their investigation.
