A power outage left several areas in downtown Yonkers in the dark Monday.
Many people who work at the so-called i.park facility spent time outside their offices while waiting for the power to be restored. According to i.park officials, half the complex was affected including parts of the Kawasaki manufacturing company, the Yonkers Riverfront Library and the county Social Services Department.
The Yonkers Board of Education building located on Wells Avenue was also affected by the power outage, but it did not prevent schools from opening.
While the i.park general manager claims Con Ed had a problem with a feeder, Con Ed claims an internal problem at the i.park was to blame for the outage.
