Poughkeepsie police arrested two people after authorities executed a search warrant that resulted in confiscation of drugs.

Police say the search warrant was a result of an investigation by the Neighborhood Recovery Unit into suspected drug sales on the 500 block of Main Street.

According to police, 50-year-old Tylor Mix and 49-year-old Jeanine Carpenter, were arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say crack cocaine, cash, packaging materials and two vehicles were seized.

Both Mix and Carpenter were being held for arraignment as of Saturday afternoon.
