The Port Jervis Pharmacy on Jersey Avenue is accepting unused and expired medication Saturday, as part of National Drug Giveback Day.
Prescriptions and over-the-counter drugs will be accepted.
Pharmacist Kim Smith says the drop-off is an effort to help keep people and their pets safe.
"It's just really important for potential misuse and also for the safety of our pets and children," says Smith. "All of our family members, really - to just make sure if it's no longer needed to just get it out of the house."
