A community is rallying to protect a Port Chester man who is facing deportation.
Family and friends of Aroldo Soto-Contreras gathered outside the Immigration and Customs Enforcement office in Manhattan Thursday to protest his planned deportation.
Contreras came to the United States from Guatemala in 1989.
He has three kids, who were at the rally, along with his wife. They say he's not just their role model, he’s also a crucial caretaker of the family.
Contreras was detained in October after his regular check-in with immigration officials.
His family says he's never committed a crime.
