Businesses in Port Chester and other parts of the county are reeling from the power outages that occurred after Tuesday?s storms.
Business owners are experiencing a double whammy. They have lost thousands of dollars in inventory and they also have lost customers. Restaurants seem to be taking the worst hit. Unless restaurants had a generator for power, food had to be thrown out. Owners say every day without power is another day in the red.
And while closed restaurants along Main Street seem to be the norm, at least a water delivery service is seeing brisk business.
