A Port Authority officer who lives in Rockland County is being hailed a hero after the terror attack in NYC on Monday.
Officer Drew Preston, of Thiells, is one of four Port Authority officers who helped restrain and cuff the suspect.
Police say Akayed Ullah, 27, strapped on a crude pipe bomb with Velcro and plastic ties, and set off the device before being taken down by authorities.
Preston is an Army veteran, who served in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
