Popular hot dog stand offers free food for veterans

Staff at Pete’s Hot Dogs on S. William Street in Newburgh says veterans can order anything they want from the menu with an ID until they close at 5 p.m.

A popular Orange County restaurant known for their hot dogs is giving veterans free meals today to thank them for their service!
Staff at Pete’s Hot Dogs on S. William Street in Newburgh says veterans can order anything they want from the menu with an ID until they close at 5 p.m.
Veterans who stopped by for lunch said they appreciate the recognition. 
“I thought this is an amazing thing they’re doing for veterans, so hats off to Pete’s and their staff,” said Trevon Grey, a Marine veteran from Newburgh. 
Pete’s Hot Dogs has been around for 90 years and the owner is a Marine veteran.
