The ethics investigation rocking Gov. Andrew Cuomo's office has taken a hit on his popularity as new information has been revealed about who was being targeted in the corruption probe.

The ethics panel created by Cuomo was reportedly investigating at least 15 state lawmakers, mostly Republicans, that likely included Sen. Greg Ball.

The recent negative headlines about Cuomo seems to have finally caught up with the governor. A survey released Tuesday by Marist College shows Cuomo's approval ratings at 53 percent. A poll last month put Cuomo at 58 percent.

Hudson Valley voters say they aren't surprised by the poll. However, most voters said that the Moreland Commission probe will not cause them to change their vote, unless the U.S. attorney files charges.

A spokesman for Sen. Ball said in a statement to News 12 that Ball had no knowledge he was being investigated but "is concerned about possible interference with the Moreland Commission."

In a surprise announcement shortly after the commission was disbanded, Ball announced he would not be seeking re-election to his Senate seat.
