Police: Yonkers restaurant shut down due to COVID-19 violations

A popular restaurant in Yonkers, Blue Bar & Grill, has been forced to shut down due to multiple COVID-19 health violations.
Yonkers police say they received numerous complaints about the Blue Bar & Grill, citing loud music, disorderly patrons and potential COVID-19 health violations.
Officers who arrived for an inspection at the Blue Bar & Grill reported a lack of social distancing inside the bar, with numerous patrons not wearing facial coverings.
They also noted that no food was being served and discovered that the business' food permit had expired.
Residents said they don't feel comfortable going out in the current climate.
"It's packed and not everybody wears masks. They don't require everybody to wear masks in certain bars," said Daniel Harrison.
The order of suspension is effective indefinitely - with no proposed date for reopening.
