Police say a man killed his wife and then tried to commit suicide in Yonkers on Sunday morning.

Authorities say 54-year-old Joseph Abraham stabbed his wife, 25-year-old Amanda Trenck, multiple times during a domestic dispute at their apartment at 59 Van Cortlandt Park Ave.

Yonkers police say they found Trenck in her bedroom of her multifamily apartment building. Abraham was in the hallway with severe lacerations to his wrists.

Police say Abraham stabbed Trenck's torso multiple times before trying to kill himself.

Abraham is charged with second-degree murder.  He is currently in police custody at the hospital.
