Yonkers police say an 18-year-old man tossed his mother's cat out of their 14th-floor apartment and later showed no remorse.
According to police, Shaman Irvin was cleaning the apartment at 160 Warburton Ave. Thursday when the cat angered him. He confessed to the crime after being arrested by police.
Irwin admitted to covering the cat's face with a towel and dangled it out his window. Police say the cat then scratched Irwin and he let it go.
Witnesses told police the grey, white and black striped feline, named Choclate, attempted to walk after hitting the ground. But after a few steps it collapsed and died.
Police say Irwin potentially faces two years in prison.
