Police: Walden woman made terroristic threat toward school district
Montgomery police have arrested and charged a Walden woman who they said made a terroristic threat to the Valley Central School District.
According to police, the threat was allegedly made in anger while voting was taking place at the high school on a districtwide safety bond project referendum.
The threat disrupted the voting process and a school lockdown was temporarily put into place.
Police were then able to locate their person of interest, Alice K. Lubitz, 63, who was charged with making a terroristic threat.
Voting will continue through 9 p.m.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and further charges may be added.
