Police uncover 120 grams of pot while responding to car crash

A car crash in Montebello lead Ramapo police to a drug bust.
Authorities responded to an accident on Route 59 near Hemion Road.
They say a 20-year-old Stony Point man fell asleep while driving and hit a utility pole.
Police say while they were conducting a sobriety test on the man, his girlfriend arrived on the scene and tried to remove a bag from the car.
They then uncovered more than 120 grams of marijuana inside the bag.
The driver and his 18-year-old girlfriend from West Haverstraw have been charged with criminal possession of marijuana.
