Police across the Hudson Valley region are still patrolling the area to crack down on speeders and drunken and distracted drivers.
New York State Police say that drivers can expect extra patrols through the weekend.
During the 2013 Thanksgiving Holiday weekend, troopers issued more than 5,000 tickets, and arrested about 200 drunken drivers.
