A Chase bank in Scarsdale was robbed by an armed suspect early Saturday morning, police say.
According to authorities, the robbery happened shortly before 9 a.m. as two employees were opening the bank located on Central Avenue. Police say the gunman forced the workers inside and demanded they open the vault.
The suspect then took off with an undetermined amount of cash. No one was injured in the course of the robbery.
The robber is described as a man in his 30s, about 5 feet 5 inches tall with a scruffy beard. Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call the Greenburgh Police Department at 914-682-5325.
