State police were back in Orange County Wednesday searching for more clues after the remains of a missing Bronx woman were found.
They searched the same field in Blooming Grove where they found remains of Ramona Moore on Friday.
The 35-year-old Bronx woman went missing in July 2012. Police had suspected that her landlord, 29-year-old Nasean Bonie, was involved in her disappearance, but it was a difficult case because they didn't have a body.
A year later, prosecutors charged Bonie, relying on circumstantial evidence and strong witness testimony to get an indictment.
Now that remains have been found, a forensic anthropologist will attempt to determine how Moore died and if Bonie killed her.
Bonie was in court Wednesday and sentenced to four years in prison for beating his ex-wife.
Prosecutors have decided to postpone his murder trial until Moore's autopsy results are complete.
Bonie's next court date is May 27.
