Police search for clues in teen's slaying
Mount Vernon police are searching for suspects in the slaying of a 16-year-old high school student.
Douglas Williams was fatally stabbed in his chest and side at around 10:30 p.m., police say. Williams was found bleeding by authorities on North 8th Avenue near Valentine Street.
"This is like a big dream and I'm waiting to get pinched, somebody is going to wake me up," says cousin Eric Thomas, who attended a makeshift memorial for Williams in Mount Vernon. The victim was a student at Mount Vernon High School.
