Ulster County officials say several calls came in Monday about a woman screaming for help on Springtown Road.
Police say when they arrived, Matthew Dequarto drove away and led police on a chase before abandoning the car in the Town of Ulster.
The victim was treated for injuries at the hospital.
Dequarto was arrested Thursday and is due back in court at a later date.
