There is a renewed call from police today to help crack a cold case murder on Long Island.

Police have released again a facial reconstruction image that they hope will help identify a man found dead in Dix Hills in 2000.

His body was found in a garbage bag in a wooded area on the eastbound shoulder of the Northern State Parkway.

The man had been shot in the face and body.

Police are offering a reward of up to $5,000 for info leading to an arrest.
